Q: Do I need to carry a dongle with me if I want to use Propellerhead Reason with my laptop?

A: With Reason 7, you have four options for authorizing Reason:

Dongle — if you’re working on a desktop computer, don’t have access to the Internet, or want to be able to jump among different computers, then a hardware dongle or key is a convenient solution.
Computer Authorization — with Reason 7, you can now “permanently” authorize one computer to run without a key or Internet access.
Internet Authorization — if you are on the go, Reason can check in with the Propellerhead site and authorize itself to run on your computer. Internet access is required.
Balance — if you have a Propellerhead Balance audio interface, it will serve as a key for authorizing your Reason software.
