H9 Does Distortion…and More!

Date:2020/3/16 14:39:50 Hits:

Eventide has announced a new algorithm, CrushStation, that brings overdrive and distortion to the company’s popular H9 stompbox processor. The new algorithm does not strive to emulate an amp or pedal, rather it uses all of the pedal’s available DSP to generate a powerful effect that can drive creativity and inspire new ideas. You’ve given total control, with features such as a multiband EQ, Drive and Sustain controls, and unique parameters including Sag, Octaves, and Grit. CrushStation is free for H9 Max owners and can be purchased by owners of H9 and H9 Core.

The latest version of H9 Control also expands on the routing capability of the H9; now, in addition to mono and stereo operation, you can use the outputs and inputs independently for wet/dry routing or to route in mono into an amp while simultaneously routing through the amp’s effects loop using the H9’s other input and output. For example, place CrushStation in front of your amp while placing a Blackhole reverb in the amp’s effects loop. Other new features include volume swell and MIDI merge.
