New Offerings from Korg

Date:2020/2/12 21:28:35 Hits:

Thanks to Korg, we’ll all be knee-deep in keyboards and synths during winter NAMM this year. Whether you’re looking for a realistic digital piano, analog polysynth, or a means to build the ultimate Volca rig, Korg’s got you covered.

Available in 49-key, 8-voice and 61-key, 16-voice models, Korg’s new Prologue analog polysynths supply you with endless options for sonic creation. These synthesizers are packed with Split, Layer, and Crossfade modes, and each voice features two analog oscillators and a digital oscillator with FM and wavetable synthesis. Four different voice modes, an arpeggiator, a dual effects section, and 500 program locations add to the Prologues’ versatility. Beyond that, you can create your own oscillators and effects.

If you’re a Korg Volca user, you’re about to get really happy. The new Volca Mix is a 2 mono input/1 stereo input analog mixer designed especially for Korg Volca synth modules. And it’s jam-packed with features. It powers up to three Volcas and provides you with an external effects send, as well as a low-/high-cut filter, send control, mute button, and fader for each channel. On top of that, you can control your tempo by syncing to other Volca modules. We told you it was jam-packed!

Besides all the cool synth-related stuff, Korg is also releasing the konnect — a portable PA with a 4-channel mixer for your mics, instruments, and media players. You can tailor the konnect to just about any application, thanks to five different voice types. And if you’re into karaoke, you’ll really dig the Center Cancel function. Built-in reverb, limiting, and feedback suppression ensure a polished sound. You also get Bluetooth connectivity for remote operation and streaming audio from your smart device. What else could you ask for in a portable PA?

At Sweetwater, we’re psyched by all of Korg’s NAMM offerings. New Korg synths and keyboards are always thrilling, and fans of their Volca modules have been asking for a dedicated mixer for years. And then they throw a feature-packed portable PA into the mix — there’s a lot to be excited about!
