How to Install an FM Radio Transmitter

Date:2014/2/13 11:41:03 Hits:
An FM radio transmitter is a device that takes the audio output from a device such as a portable CD player or MP3 player and broadcasts it over an FM frequency. That FM frequency can then be picked up by the stereo in your car or home, which allows you to listen to the audio from your portable media device in these locations. Installing an FM radio transmitter is easy, but will depend on what type of device you are actually using it with.

Instructions:

1.Plug the audio cable that runs from your FM transmitter into the headphone jack on your device. This cable transfers the audio from your device into the FM transmitter so that it can then be transmitted over a short-range FM radio frequency.

2.Connect your FM transmitter's power adapter to a power source. FM transmitters designed for use with Apple's iPod electronics will plug into the USB port on the bottom of the iPod and use the device's battery for power. Other types of FM transmitter will plug into the power adapter in your car.

3.Use the control panel on the FM transmitter to tune it to the frequency of an FM radio station that your car radio can also pick up. Next, tune your car radio to this same frequency. Your FM radio transmitter will be properly installed.
