How to Get Antenna Cable to Work on a Dynex Television

Date:2014/12/29 11:24:15 Hits:
If you would rather save some money on monthly cable bills, you can connect an aerial antenna to your Dynex television. Many local television channels broadcast in high definition, so the image quality can be surprisingly good, depending on your location. Once you have connected the antenna, the TV can scan for available channels so you don't accidentally attempt to tune in to a channel that does not have a broadcaster in your area.

Instructions

1.Locate the coaxial input on the back of your Dynex television. The connection is threaded and looks like a small metal nub.

2.Fit the antenna cable connector over the threaded input and tighten the metal collar. Make sure not to bend the metal pin on the inside of the connector.

3.Turn on the TV and press the "Menu" button on the remote control.

4.Scroll to the "Channel" menu option and change the TV Source field to "Antenna."

5.Highlight the Auto Scan field and press "Enter" to scan for available channels. The TV will display a dialog box asking you to confirm, so select "Yes."
