How to Make a Portable TV Antenna Better

Date:2014/11/22 10:33:42 Hits:
Portable TV antennas work in the same fashion as large, bow-tie antennas. Despite the reduced size of the antenna, it can receive a high-definition signal. Install an amplifier into the wiring system to improve the reception quality of the antenna's signal.

Things You'll Need

    Coaxial cables

    Amplifier

Instructions

1.Turn off and unplug your TV. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the portable antenna that is connected to the "ANT IN" or "TV IN" jack on the rear of the TV.

2.Connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the "ANT IN" jack on the amplifier. Plug another coaxial cable to the "To TV" jack on the amplifier.

3.Fasten the coaxial cable from the amplifier to the "ANT IN" jack on the rear of the TV. Plug the power adapter from the amplifier into a nearby electrical outlet. Plug in the TV, then turn it on.
