Q: What is “Frequency Bracketing?”

Date:2020/3/9 10:06:14 Hits:

Frequency bracketing, sometimes referred to as just “bracketing,” is restricting the frequency content of an audio signal by applying steep shelving high- and low-pass filters to it, effectively removing all of its content outside the “bracket.” Very often, restricting the frequency content of a sound can help carve out a space for it in a dense mix, as well as keep the sound from interfering with other sounds sitting at other frequencies outside the bracket.
