iZotope Releases Ozone 6.1 Update

iZotope has updated their creative mastering platform, Ozone, to version 6.1. In addition to stability enhancements, Ozone 6.1 features:

Adaptive Release — A new multiband control for the Dynamics module, iZotope says that this can intelligently automate finding the best release times for a given program material. The compressor engages with the audio in real time, adjusting the release values based on the transient properties of the incoming signal.

Tube Limiting Mode — The Tube Limiting Mode for the Maximizer module combines warm, analog-styled final stage limiting with digital maximizing. iZotope claims this offers a tube-like warmth while remaining competitively loud and appropriate for modern mastering. The new algorithm inspired by the vintage tube hardware limiters Fairchild 670 and Manley Vari-Mu.

In addition, Ozone 6.1 features additional module presets, selectable segmentation loops, and track numbers on export.
