How To Use the Eleven Rack Output to Amp for Recording
Date:2020/3/7 10:19:24 Hits:
Recording with Eleven Rack offers lots of output options. Typically, it’s the interface to the computer so all of the information travels via the USB connection. When using Eleven Rack as a sound source only — crafting your guitar tone and recording through another interface for example — the rear-panel, XLR Main Outputs are the go-to method. However, if you find yourself in a situation where a quarter-inch audio output is the only option, Output to Amp will more than cover it.
Select It
Output to Amp is an instrument-level output, designed to properly drive the input of a guitar amplifier. For that reason, Output to Amp is perfect for connecting Eleven Rack to a computer recording interface that has an input specifically for guitar level. It is available on any preset, with any amp/effect combination. There are two Output to Amp jacks, Output 1 (Left) is on the front panel and Output 2 (Right) is on the rear panel. These can be assigned as either stereo or mono.
To adjust the output level of Output to Amp, press the Edit/Back button and the display screen will show this view:0206151405
Turn the Scroll knob until this is in the display screen:0206151407
Use the SW 1 button to choose either Mono or Stereo. For Mono, plugging into either output will sum the total output signal.
Three of the six knobs on the bottom row will be lit. Use the middle knob to control the level of Output 1 and the knob on the right for Output 2.
More Options
Outputs 1 and 2 can also be independently assigned to different points in the signal chain. This can be useful for capturing a performance for re-amping, driving a separate guitar amp, or creating an amp-sound-only track with no effects. You can choose from Rig Input, Amp Input, Amp Output, Rig Output, or Rig Out No Cab.
To access this menu, hold down the Edit/Back button for two seconds until the display screen shows this:0206151409
Use the SW 1 button to select Outputs to Amp
Use the Scroll knob to select either Output 1 or 20206151410
Use the bottom-row knob that is lit to choose your signal-path option
