Universal Audio Debuts RMX16, TL100A, and UAD2 v7.10

Date:2020/3/5 17:09:47 Hits:

Universal Audio has released the latest version of software for the the UAD2 platform (including UAD2 cards, Satellite, and Apollo Thunderbolt and Firewire audio interfaces). Included in this release is a demo for the amazing new AMS RMX16 digital reverb plug-in. The AMS RMX16 was the world’s first microprocessor-controlled, full-bandwidth digital reverb — you’ve heard it on countless recordings, including hits by U2, Radiohead, Rihanna and Peter Gabriel. Now you have that same sound on your UAD2 card or Apollo interface! Based on the actual schematics, circuits, algorithms, and components in the original RMX16 — and developed in association with original RMX16 designer Mark Crabtree — the plug-in faithfully recreates the sound and response of the hardware, but with all the advantages of today’s modern DSP environment.

The Summit Audio TL100A has been a studio-standard compressor for many years. Featuring a hybrid tube/solid-state circuit, the TL100A has been modeled down to the finest detail for the UAD2 platform, providing all the warmth, classic soft-knee response, and flavor of the original. Great on vocals, as a parallel compressor (using the handy knob right on the plug-in) on drums or other tracks, and with variable saturation control, the TL100A can cover myriad bases in the studio.

UAD2 version 7.10 is a free update, and includes demos of the AMS RMX16 and Summit Audio TL100A plug-ins.
