Cool New Gear from Mackie

Date:2020/3/4 17:17:01 Hits:

Mackie’s unleashed a flood of cool new products this summer, providing exciting new tools for both live sound and studio production. These new products include both full-size and compact VLZ4 mixers, impressive SRM 1600W Series powered loudspeakers, and seriously enhanced MRmk3 Series studio monitors. Let’s take a closer look.

Mackie’s VLZ4 mixers give you an excellent combination of straightforward analog operation and high-quality sound. On the large-format side, these mixers come in either 24- or 32-channel configurations and feature Mackie’s award-winning Onyx preamps, with compressors on four channels that let you reign in your dynamics. Each channel also sports easy-to-use 3-band EQs complete with a sweepable midrange. On top of that, you can also add essential effects, courtesy of the onboard dual 32-bit RMFX+ effects processors. Add to that six auxiliary sends, four subgroups, and an integrated 4-in/2-out USB audio interface, and these VLZ4 mixers are ready for a wide range of live sound applications.

Mackie VLZ4 mixers come in smaller sizes too, with less elaborate EQs and routing schemes. Nonetheless, even the most humble of the lineup, the 4-channel 402VLZ4, provides you with top-quality Onyx preamps, great-sounding EQs, super-low-noise operation, and Mackie’s famous “Built-Like-A-Tank” construction. So, whether you’re putting together a low-channel-count media rig or grabbing a new board for your nightclub or church, you’ll find an excellent-sounding mixer you can really count on in the VLZ4 series.

On a completely different note, Mackie’s new SRM 1600W Series of PA loudspeakers is turning heads and shaking foundations. These active speakers combine Mackie’s long-standing industry-standard SRM loudspeaker technology with pro-grade all-wood cabinets. The result is massive output, minimal noise, and extreme clarity. With 1,600 watts pushing either a 12″ or a 15″ woofer, these PA speakers give you more than enough power and punch to fill larger halls. Brilliant back-panel controls let you dial in the well-thought-out onboard processing. There you can adjust the crossover, set different voicings for mains or monitor use, and root out feedback with the 1-button automatic Feedback Destroyer. Rounding out the series is an 18″ subwoofer that can hit with wrecking-ball force.

Back in studio land, Mackie also came out with an update to their popular MR line of studio monitors. MRmk3 Series studio monitors give you the low-distortion/high-accuracy performance MR models have delivered for years, but with even greater sound-shaping enhancement. To begin with, there’s the MRmk3’s new waveguide design, which widens up the sweet spot. You’re sure to appreciate the extended low-frequency response, and customizable frequency controls make dialing in the perfect response for your room easy. MRmk3 studio monitors are available in sizes ranging from 5.25″ to 8″ woofers, and there’s a matching 10″ sub to go with them. With all of these great new offerings from Mackie, you have plenty of good reasons to call your Sales Engineer today.
