AudioBus Released for iPad and iPhone

iOS musicians, rejoice! A new app called “AudioBus” is available from the iTunes App Store. AudioBus allows you to load and mix apps as input devices into a chain, insert an effects processing app, then send the output to either the iOS device’s headphone jack or — and this is the really cool part — to the inputs of the tracks of a multitrack recording app!

This means that you can create entire multitrack productions inside an iOS device using synth and drum machine apps, as well as external inputs from microphones and guitars.

The term “gamechanger” gets thrown around a lot, but in our opinion, AudioBus qualifies.
