Q: What is Efficiency in a Speaker?

Date:2020/3/13 10:31:46 Hits:

The “efficiency” of a speaker refers to the sound level in decibels (dB) measured from a distance of one meter. Decibels, in this case, are a measure of perceived volume, not power, so the more efficient the speaker, the louder it will seem to be for a given input power. So a speaker with an efficiency of 97dB will sound louder than a speaker with an efficiency of 95dB.
