Fender Announces Hot Rod Series IV
Date:2020/2/17 20:19:44 Hits:
This year at winter NAMM, Fender is releasing the eagerly anticipated fourth generation of their popular Hot Rod line of tube amplifiers. Working guitarists have long prized these amplifiers for their reliability, responsiveness to effects pedals, and of course the coveted Fender sound. These no-frills combos can be found in studios and stages all around the world.
The 40-watt 1×12 Hot Rod Deluxe IV and 60-watt 2×12 Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV are both designed to be gigging workhorses. Both feature upgraded preamp circuitry that yields incredible definition and articulation, even when you crank the overdrive. Their built-in spring reverb has been tweaked to deliver a smoother, richer tone, even under extreme use. Both amps feature Celestion A-type speakers that supply you with everything from hot, crisp highs to full-bodied, defined lows. You’ll also love their updated cosmetics, which include ivory-colored knobs over a black control panel.
The 15-watt 1×10 Pro Junior IV is loaded with upgraded volume and tone circuits that really highlight the amp’s punch, sparkle, and touch dynamics. And when you really push it, this amplifier infuses your chords and melodies with a serious amount of bite. A Jensen P10R speaker delivers tight, punchy bass and top-end sparkle by the truckload. And everything is packaged in a vintage-style tweed cabinet, complete with a ’50s-era grill cloth and stitched leather handle.
Thanks to its tweaked preamp, the 15-watt 1×12 Blues Junior IV delivers a full sound that belies its compact dimensions. It retains its predecessor’s American-sounding tone, but with fuller lows, assertive mids, and loads of Fender’s familiar high-end chime. Beyond that, the amp’s upgraded spring reverb circuit is exceptionally smooth — you can crank it without losing any detail. The Blues Junior IV includes a Celestion A-type speaker.
Fender’s Hot Rod series has always been popular here at Sweetwater, so these new models are sure to please longtime fans of these value-packed amps.
