This series doesn’t replicate specific model years. Rather, these vintage-inspired instruments combine the best of the old and the new. Historic neck profiles with vintage tall frets and modern radiuses. Period-correct pickups with current vintage hardware. And gorgeous lacquer finishes.

Fender’s American Original Series essentially takes commonly requested Custom Shop feature combinations and packs them into realistically priced production models. What you end up with is the look and sound of a vintage instrument with all of the elements that make modern American-built Fenders popular with players on stages all over the world.

There are plenty of stunning models to choose from, representing the classic eras of Fender’s storied past — ’50s and ’60s Stratocasters, ’50s and ’60s Telecasters, ’60s Jazzmasters and Jaguars, ’50s and ’60s Precision Basses, and ’60s and ’70s Jazz Basses. All models include a new vintage-style case.

Fender’s American Original Series replaces their previous American Vintage Series.
