Roland Introduces SE-02 Analog Synthesizer

Today Roland announced a landmark new synthesizer, the SE-02, a new member of the popular Boutique Designer series of compact synths. The SE-02 is ground-breaking because it marks a collaboration with well-known analog synth mavens Studio Electronics, and because it features authentic discrete analog circuitry and real-time, hands-on control for nearly every function.

The SE-02’s monophonic engine has three voltage-controlled oscillators with six waveforms, a 24dB low-pass filter, and a dual gain-stage amplifier. Additional features include cross modulation, a filter feedback loop, a tempo-syncing LFO with nine waveforms, envelope sweeping and inverting, a noise generator, a tempo-syncing delay, a 16-step/128-pattern/16-song sequencer with 16 parts and parameter automation, MIDI I/O, trigger I/O, control voltage inputs, external audio input, USB audio and MIDI, and much more. There 384 presets (128 user presets) covering vintage and modern tones.
