Date:2020/1/9 17:07:56 Hits:

There’s no end in sight to the new products from NAMM! Check out these manufacturer offerings:

Paul Reed Smith amps — In a previous edition we mention that PRS had launched five new signature SE model guitars. But that’s not all the company had rolling at the show; the company’s amplifier line also great new additions. There are now four “tuxedo” amps (refering to the tolex covering colors): the Sweet 16, the PRS 30 (English vibe), the Dallas II (50-watt workhorse), and the Texaplex (50-watt British inspired). Then there’s the “Handwired” family (though the Tuxedos, such as the Sweet 16, are also handwired). The Super Dallas (Dallas on steroids), the Paul Reed Smith Signature (modified Original Sewell), the Original Sewell (same as old version in new tolex; the link shows the old paisley covering), and the 25th Anniversary Amplifier (multi-dimensional vintage-inspired amp).

Alesis VideoTrack — Video is the big push these days, but capturing it can be a challenge. Now the Alesis VideoTrack cahnges all that. This handheld video/audio recorder has a large display, 5-way control system, built-in stereo condenser mics, and USB connectivity, plus, it can capture still photos, video, or quality audio.

API 527 — New from AMP is the 527 compressor, a 500 series unit based on the 255L module found in API’s amazing high-end consoles. API’s patented “Thrust” filter is included for punchy low end, and a 10-segment LED meter can indicate output level or gain reduction.

Cakewalk Pro Series Controllers — Four new MIDI controller keyboards were on display at the Cakewalk booth, ranging in size from 32 to 61 velocity-sensitive keys. Assignable knobs, sliders, buttons, transport controls, and pads are built-in, and USB bus powering is supported, eliminating the need for an AC adapter. Three virtual instruments are bundled with each model.

Furman F1500-UPS — AC power management/backup is critical to success whether you are in the studio or onstage. Now Furman has introduced the F1500-UPS, the first battery backup solution to included the proprietary SMP/LiFT/EVS technologies for pro-level protection and noise filtration. The unit offers 1,500 VA of backup power with true sine wave output, IR control for safe shutdown of remote equipment, and much more!
