As an environmentally conscious company, Sweetwater is excited to participate in D’Addario and TerraCycle’s Playback string-recycling program, the first of its kind. On April 22-23, 2016, in celebration of Earth Day and International Guitar Month, we’re inviting you to bring in your old strings for us to recycle, and we’ll restring your guitar with a new set of D’Addario NYXL electric or Nickel Bronze Acoustic strings for free!*

An estimated 1.5-million pounds of guitar strings are dumped into landfills every year. That’s the weight of 2.5 Statues of Liberty! Help us protect the environment and get your guitar restrung for FREE!

Of course, we understand that not everyone can be here at Sweetwater for this event, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t participate in Playback! Learn more here.
