Q: I hear that people are returning to analog recording. Is this true? — Eddie S.

A: From our perspective, the current trend seems to be more toward hybrid systems (combining analog processing and summing with digital solutions such as DAWs) than toward purely analog recording solutions. There are some engineers working entirely in the analog domain. But, in-the-box digital recording systems remain arguably the most popular solution for most users.

There are many ways to achieve the goal of recording music, all valid. The important thing is to use what works for you and that gives you the sound you desire.
