Steinberg Releases HALion 5 and HALion Sonic 2

Steinberg has announced HALion 5 and HALion Sonic 2 virtual music workstations for synthesis and sampling. At a glance, HALion 5 offers two new sound sources: granular synth and tone-wheel organ, a new slicing mode for rearranging any sample to fit your track, an updated FlexPhraser, two new MIDI modules, and Trigger Pad, plus eight new instruments and nine new effects, while HALion Sonic 2 offers eight new instruments, an updated FlexPhraser, and nine new effects.
